Principle of subordination of individual interest to general interest.
INDIVIDUAL INTEREST :- Individual interest generally refers to self interest. Actually where there is something profitable to us.
Sometimes we take decisions which may be in our favour that is caused due to we are interested.
GENERAL INTEREST :- General interest refers to what decisions we are going to take that is favourable to us and for our organization. No personal gains or any favours.
☆ According to this principle HENRI FAYOL advocates, the interest of the organisation is supersaid to interest of individual. If individual interest and organisation interest are in different direction then manager must try to reconcile individual and organisational interest and suppose it can't be possible then individual interest must be sacrificed for achieving organisational interest.
》Advantages of following this principle:-
- Achievement of organisational goal.
- Achievement of individual goal.
- Coordination between individual and organisational goal.
》Disadvantages of violating this principle:-
- No achievement of organisational goal and individual goals.
- Lack of coordination between individual and organisational interest.
