Do you know what happen in case where amount in figures and words are different in an instruments like cheques,  bills of exchange, etc

This is absolutely an interesting question one can wonder what happened if we put the the amount in figures, different from which we put in words.

Like you wrote a 2005 in figures and two hundred five on a cheque. 

So, in this case the one written in words on cheque is taken for withdrawal.
