Red herring prospectus

Meaning

Prospectus which does not include complete particulars of quantum / price of security included there in.

In other words :

The majority of information about a company's activities and prospects is included in a red herring prospectus, but important information about the security issue—such as the price and the number of shares offered—is left out.
